The Loop

Systems running.
Numbers moving.

The Loop is a monthly retainer for clients who want their systems actively run, optimized, and extended after the build. A fractional growth and marketing operator on your bag every month helping you grow.

What a typical month looks like.

1
Start of month
Planning Call
At the start of each month, we sit down together and lock the priorities. What's the focus, what gets touched, what's parked.
2
Most of the month
Build and Optimize
The bulk of the month goes into the actual work. Campaigns, system tweaks, content, integrations, whatever is priortized.
3
Each week
Async Check-ins
Each week, an email (or call) update covers what's moving, what's stuck, and any decisions that need your input.
4
End of month
Monthly Recap
At the end of the month, we recap what got done, what moved in the numbers, and what's queued up for next month.

What the Loop usually covers.

The Loop is bought for capacity and judgment, not a fixed deliverables list. Some months are heavy on build work. Some months are heavy on strategic decisions. Most months are a mix.

Ongoing campaign work across systems we've built
Seasonal campaign planning and execution
Email and SMS sequence updates
Performance review and reporting
Strategic decision support, a caddie on your bag
New initiative scoping and rollout
Light system extensions and integrations
Quarterly review session

What it costs.

$3,500 to $6,000
Per month, monthly retainer
The format
The Loop is a monthly retainer. The price is set during scoping based on the scope of monthly work and the number of active systems. Once set, the monthly number doesn't change without a conversation.
The terms
30-day notice to cancel. No long-term contract. The Loop runs month to month for as long as it's working for both sides.
What moves the price
Three things move the price. The first is the number of active systems being run, since more systems mean more monthly work. The second is how hands-on you want us to be, since heavier strategic involvement and faster turnarounds cost more. The third is whether the engagement includes content production, which adds material work each month.

How clients enter the Loop.

Most clients
Most Loop engagements start after a Read or Yardage Book. The build proves out what works, the systems get installed, and the Loop takes over the run. By the time we move into the Loop, we already know your operation, your numbers, and what the systems are doing for you.
Some clients
Some clients enter the Loop directly. Usually those clients already have functional systems in place and want someone running them, optimizing them, and extending them. In that case, we do extra discovery upfront to learn the operation, capture baseline numbers, and figure out where the monthly work needs to focus.

Is the Loop the right call?

The Loop fits when:
  • You've already built systems (with us or before) and want them actively run.
  • You want a fractional growth and marketing operator without hiring full-time.
  • You want strategic and tactical support each month, not just one or the other.
  • You want flexibility, not a long contract.
The Loop isn't the right call when:
  • You don't have systems built yet. Start with a Read or Yardage Book first.
  • You only need a one-off project. Consider a Read.
  • You want a hands-off agency relationship. The Loop is collaborative.

Questions we hear a lot.

Do I need to do a Read or Yardage Book first?
Usually yes, but not always. Most Loop engagements start after a Read or Yardage Book because the build creates the systems the Loop runs. Without something to run, the Loop has nothing to do. The exception is clients who already have functional systems in place. In that case, we do extra discovery upfront and start the Loop from there.
What's actually included each month?
It varies. Some months are heavy on build work (new campaigns, system extensions, content). Other months are heavier on strategic work (planning the next quarter, reviewing performance, deciding on new initiatives). The categories listed above cover what shows up most often, but the actual monthly mix depends on the priorities locked in the planning call.
How is this different from a marketing agency retainer?
Agencies generally execute a defined scope of work each month, often siloed by channel (paid media, social, content). The Loop is more like a fractional operator role. We work across the entire growth and marketing function for your operation, with both hands on the tools and a seat at the strategy table. Less channel execution. More operator coverage.
Can I increase or decrease scope month to month?
Within a band, yes. The retainer covers a defined band of work. Small fluctuations are normal and don't change the monthly number. Larger scope changes get discussed and the retainer adjusts at the next month boundary. We don't bill surprise overages.
What's the cancellation process?
Email us at any point with 30 days' notice. The next 30 days continue as normal, the engagement closes at the end of the notice period, and we hand off documentation on anything in progress. No fees, no clawbacks, no awkward conversations.
What if you're not available when I need you?
For a real emergency, we make ourselves available. For non-emergency work, we batch around the weekly check-ins and monthly cadence. The Loop is a partnership, not a 24-hour help desk. We're upfront about that during scoping so the expectation is set before we start.
